Musician, Performer and Teacher. Specialising in Bass, Guitar and Composition

Hello and welcome to my site!

I'm a working musician and qualified music instructor, based in Liverpool,

specialising in bass and guitar, with over twenty years of experience.

I                     classical, acoustic/finger style, song writing and bass guitar

I enjoy working with both individuals and groups on creative projects and in live performance.

I work regularly with John O'Connell, playing bass guitar in some of his live performances.

Most of my work is Liverpool-based but I also have colleagues and connections in the Bristol area

where I grew up.

I moved to Liverpool in 1998 to study for my music degree at LIPA, graduating BA Hons, and loved the

city so much that I stayed, working in various bands, and teaching guitar both privately and in schools.

FEATURED TRACK

Two videos taken at West Kirby Arts Centre in October 2019. Cannon ball rag has me doing a bass solo and singing a duet on Long Legged Guitar Picking Man. Bass players sometimes sing too!

Wonderful few days spent in Frome with the talented singer songwriter, musician and harpist Vicki Burke.

I was honoured to be asked to play and write some bass lines on her new album, and I can't wait to hear the finished recording. Lovely team to work with as well, with Mark on drums and Will engineering. Click the link below to see/hear a video made for her last album, 'Sebastian'.

Picture of the last gig of 2018 with

John O'Connell, it's been a good year for new projects and moving on from old projects.

I'm feeling revitalised for 2019, ready for new challenges and hopefully more creative time for a spot of song writing and work on my ceramics again!

Pictured below one of my students Sofia who's achieved a distinction at grade 4 classical guitar this year. She'll be doing grade 5 later this year and is on track to do very well with this one too!

Well done Sofia!
