I’ve been teaching guitar and bass since my graduation in 2001 and love to help budding musicians get to grips with those wonderful instruments and expend on their abilities.

Learning an instrument is a lifelong joy. It brings some challenges as well as a fantastic sense of achievement and can be an immensely creative experience.

I believe learning an instrument is a personal endeavour and it’s important to have a tailored one-to-one approach in each lesson so my students can get as much out of their time with me as possible.

​

My lessons offer the student a range of exciting possibilities from getting started with the  basics,  to looking at new repertoire, songs, to reading music. Classical, pop, contemporary. ..it all depends on what interests the individual student and the level at which they currently play.

 

Classical Guitar. Covering all aspects of technique, reading score, and classical grades (Trinity College London) from complete beginner through to the higher grades.

 

Acoustic Guitar. Covering chords, scales and improvisation, finger style picking, and singing with the guitar as well as song writing. Acoustic grades can be taken as well.

 

Bass guitar. covering all aspects of bass playing from first techniques right up to advanced level. Repertoire, listening and aural training, playing in ensemble, writing and improvising.

Electric Guitar. Covering basic technique, bar and power chord, building rep. solos, scales etc. I am able to teach electric guitar to a beginners/intermediate level.
